We want you to always be safe getting to and from your bookings. Plus, we know public transportation may not always be an option. If you need to take a Lyft or Uber to get to and from a booking, we may be able to reimburse you. Please review our rideshare policy below:

When a caregiver elects to use rideshare for any reason, the caregiver must first request approval from a supervisor or caregiver help for all advance bookings. Caregivers can reach out to the booking support team for any same-day or next-day approvals. Approval must be received before a rideshare will be deemed "approved" and eligible for reimbursement. If the rideshare is not approved by one or more of the above parties, the rideshare will not be eligible for reimbursement. Care.com reserves the right to review exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis.

Friendly reminder rideshares are for emergency purposes and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Examples of circumstances when we may approve: car wouldn't start, extreme weather causing train delays, booking hours outside of when public transportation runs, etc.

Requested and approved rideshare costs will be reimbursed up to a maximum amount of $60.00 (sixty US dollars) / booking.

*Please note that submitting expense reports weekly is preferred to ensure faster reimbursements. Reports can be submitted any time up to 30 days after the expense was incurred. Any expense submitted after thirty days from the date of being incurred will not be approved. Exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and any exception to this policy will need manager/director approval. This policy is effective 10/1/2023.

Please reach out to your supervisor or caregiverhelp@care.com to discuss a potential rideshare reimbursement.
