We are focused on protecting the health of our childcare providers and families with whom you interact. Read below for our policies regarding masks, vaccination and returning to work.
Masks:
You are no longer obligated to wear a mask while on the job. We understand the importance of ensuring everyone's comfort, so please take a moment to review the following details and approach this change with sensitivity when discussing it with families, as some may have a preference one way or the other.
Masks are no longer mandatory if both the families and caregivers are comfortable without them.
Caregivers or families who prefer to wear masks may continue to do so, but it is not required.
If a family asks you to wear a mask, you should do so. And if you would like for the family to wear masks, you can kindly request it.
A good rule to live by is that the party who feels less comfortable should collaborate with the other to ensure everyone's comfort is prioritized.
Vaccination:
We no longer require new caregivers to be vaccinated. If you would like to have a “vaccinated” badge on your profile that is visible to our families, you can submit proof of vaccination into Workday for review and approval. Once approved, a badge will be added to your profile indicating that you are vaccinated. This task however is completely voluntary and not a requirement to provide care for the Care for Business team.
Returning to work after COVID-19 exposure:
We are aligning on the CDC guidelines that exposure to COVID-19 is different than exhibiting symptoms. If you are exposed to COVID-19 but non-symptomatic, you should continue to take work as you normally would. If you test positive or are experiencing symptoms for COVID-19, you will need to be removed from work for 5 days post a positive test or onset of symptoms.
General reminders:
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol when soap and water are not available.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow when coughing or sneezing.
Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces regularly.
Stay home if you're feeling unwell or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we adapt to this new phase. Let's continue to prioritize the well-being and comfort of both caregivers and families!
