Vacation Policy
If a caregiver requires time away from work or is unavailable for the week, they must request Vacation time in advance through Workday and submit for approval to their direct supervisor.
The supervisor will then review the request(s) and approve or deny the request based on the available accrued vacation time that the caregiver has and if the request occurs during a “blockout” period.
If a Full Time Caregiver is requesting Vacation time or Sick time in advance of an absence, the Caregiver must request a full block (7 or more hours) for each day requested.
If the caregiver does not have enough PTO, days that cannot be covered will be denied. Caregivers may not take more time than accrued or go negative into their Vacation balance.

Blockout Dates
To meet the demands of our business and families that we service, Care reserves the right to put in place “blockout” dates where future PTO requests will be denied unless otherwise approved by a manager (case by case basis).
During this time, backing out of a booking cannot be waived by using accrued time unless otherwise approved by a manager (case by case basis).
