If a family contacts you to ask if you are available for a future date, please direct them to the Caregiver Booking Support Team. You can make them aware that they’re able to request you specifically and the Caregiver Booking Support Team will check your availability and contact you. If you would like to continue working with this family, you can inform the Caregiver Booking Support Team that you are interested in an upcoming booking request; from there, they can assist in the match.
Filling in your availability to match the dates and times of the upcoming request allows you to be booked without further action. In the Bay Area, New York, Boston, and Seattle regions, you can be booked instantly by families.
Please be aware:
If you are already booked into another request during the dates/times that a preferred family wants to book you, we cannot remove you from one job to book into the other.
If the family tells you that they already have another caregiver booked into the jobs, please encourage them to keep that caregiver. One, it involves a lot of work to switch caregivers and two, there is a cancellation fee associated with this “switch”. Additionally, this would be taking work away from another caregiver who had already counted on this assignment.
Please understand that we require clients to agree to being open to other caregivers when they select a preferred caregiver in the job request process. They cannot submit a request without agreeing to these terms. While our preference is to match preferred caregivers to clients’ requests, we cannot guarantee it. The best way to ensure this happens is by having the matching availability or responding promptly when contacted.
