Entering Your Availability

  • As soon as you start to feel unwell or anticipate a potential schedule conflict, immediately delete your upcoming availability for the next 2-3 days. This will prevent you from getting booked by families in need of care. Add your availability when you feel better and/or are 100% confident in your schedule.

  • Add, adjust, or delete your availability directly in the "My Schedule" tab of the Trusted app. Always double check your availability to ensure 100% accuracy. Add only days and times you are confident in, and immediately remove any posted availabilities that you are unable to provide care since bookings are a firm commitment on your part.

Tips & Tricks to Get Booked More Frequently

Add large availability windows

The best way to get more jobs is by adding large availability windows and multiple days to your schedule. By doing this, you're opening yourself up to jobs that start anywhere in that availability window.

For example, if you set your availability from 6am to 8pm, you will not be auto-booked for jobs that start at 9am and end at 8:30pm, because it goes a half hour outside your availability window.

It's important to note that creating a large window of availability doesn't necessarily mean you will get booked from 6am to 8pm, it just means that it will increase the likelihood of you being booked for jobs because you match hours of more requests.

Utilize the Caregiver Booking Support Team

If you get offered a job with hours that don’t align with yours or you see a job on the job board that isn't an exact match, contact the Caregiver Booking Support Team. Families are flexible too and may be willing to adjust their hours. Partial care is better than no care!

Add availability further in advance

Take time to add availability past the requirement (2 weeks for part time and 4 weeks for full time). Some parents know in advance when they will need backup care and you can be the first to get booked by planning out your availability.

The Best Days & Times to Get Booked

Popular blocks parents are searching and booking for include daytime hours between 8 am and 7 pm on weekdays.

Temporarily add new zones

A great way to get more jobs is to look outside your normal zone and take advantage of jobs that are further away. Contact caregiverhelp@care.com today to discuss which zones you would like to temporarily add.

Make a great first impression

Recurring jobs make up over 50% of all jobs. The better the relationship you form with parents and children, the more likely they are to request you time and time again! Check out the open request section

You can always check out the job board for any unfilled jobs. Just be sure to read all the information about a job & confirm it works for you before you choose/accept it. Focus on distance from your home, hours desired & children’s age. This will help you book the best jobs for you AND avoid backouts.
